Jalen Da’Quan Carter was born April 4, 2001. In Apopka Florida. He attended Apopka High School where as a senior, he had 12 sacks, 64 tackles and a touchdown. A five-star recruit from high school, Carter committed to the University of Georgia, where he became a key player in their robust defensive unit.

As a freshman, Carter played 10 games, recorded 14 total tackles and even scored a touchdown. In his sophomore year, he notched 37 tackles and three sacks, contributing significantly to their National Championship win. His outstanding performance earned him a spot on the 2021 All-SEC football team.

His junior year in 2022-23 saw him record 32 tackles and another three sacks whilst helping Georgia win back-to-back National Championships. He also made the First-team All-SEC team and was a Unanimous All-American.
